The safety of journalists is a bigger concern now than ever before. The number of our colleagues killed or injured while working continues to grow. We discuss the need for safety precautions, what and where the dangers are, and the wisdom of hostile environment training courses. Media Advisers Asia 's safety module is in no way a substitute for proper training to work in dangerous areas. This module is aimed at raising awareness of safety as an important part of field producing and how to take steps toward getting good safety training.
